In the Schedule Dashboard, you can assign or change the employee of an existing task. To assign / change an employee, follow the steps given below:

 

1. Navigate to Operations > Schedule.

 

The Schedule Dashboard will be displayed.

 

 

2. Click the task for which you wish to assign / change employee.

 

Editing mode will be opened for the selected row:

 

 

3. Select the required employee from the drop down list in the Driver column.

 

Note: Drivers that are not available / hours of which will conflict with the selected task timings are marked with  .  If you select such an employee, an error message will be displayed as follows:

 

 

You will be given the option to perform one of the following, to avoid the conflict:

  • If you wish to un-assign the selected employee from the existing task and assign to the current task, click YES. OR
  • If you wish to discard changes and select another employee for the current task, click NO and select another employee. 

 

However, you can select drivers marked with  if the selected Task Code of the current task (or Task Code of existing task) allows overlaps. If at least one of the tasks allows overlap (as indicated by their Task Codes) a warning message will be displayed and the driver will be assigned to the task.  See screenshot below:

 

4. Click , under the Action column, in the row of the task for which you assigned / changed the employee.

 

The selected employee will be assigned to the task.
