In the Schedule Dashboard, you can assign or change the vehicle of an existing task. To assign / change vehicle, follow the steps given below:
1. Navigate to Operations > Schedule.
The Schedule Dashboard will be displayed.
2. Click the task for which you wish to assign / change vehicle.
All the fields of the task will be rendered editable.
3. Select the required vehicle from the drop down list in the Vehicle column.
Note: Vehicles that are not available / hours of which will conflict with the selected task timings are marked with and you will not be able to select such vehicles. However, you can select vehicles marked with
if the selected Task Code of the current task (or Task Code of existing task) allows overlaps. If both the Task Codes do not allow overlap, a conflict message will be displayed and you cannot assign the vehicle. If at least one Task Code allows overlap, a warning message will be displayed and the vehicle will be assigned to the task.
4. If you select a vehicle not marked with , then skip to step 6. If you select a vehicle marked with
, then a conflict warning dialog will be displayed.
5. Perform one of the following:
- If you wish to un-assign the selected vehicle from the existing task and assign to the current task, click YES. OR
- If you wish to discard changes and select another vehicle for the current task, click NO and select another vehicle.
6. Click , under the Action column, in the row of the task for which you assigned / changed the vehicle.
The selected vehicle will be assigned to the task.
