This is to let you know that version 2.1.1 of the Dispatch Clock will be available for upgrade of 12:00 PM Central, Thursday, 3/3/22. Please see the upgrade instructions below. The following are the changes in this version:
Enhancements:
- The font size of the time display on the login screen has been increased for better usability.
- The text of error messages displayed on the clock has been updated to be more meaningful to the user, in the event of network errors and other error situations. An error code has also been added that can be referenced while reporting the error back to Bytecurve support.
- Enhanced the 'Settings' screen to display the clock's model number and the Android version running on it, to assist with diagnosing clock issues
- Increased the size of the buttons on the bottom tool bar, when the user is logged into the clock.
Time Clock Update Instructions
Launching Timeclock 360
First, launch the Timeclock 360 application, if it is not already running, which may prompt you for your activation code if it is your first time launching the application. If asked, enter your activation code. If not, proceed to the next step.
Downloading the Update
Once you are at the home screen of the Timeclock 360 application, you will be greeted with a new button, in blue, indicating there is an “Update Available”. Please click this button to start the download of the new Timeclock 360 application version.
Installing the Update
After clicking the blue button, you will be met with an indication that a new update is available to install. Please click on the install button to begin the process.
After a few moments, you will be met with another prompt confirming that you wish to install the downloaded update for the existing application. Once again, click the install button to proceed.
Verifying the Update and Launching the Clock
Following the installation, the app will close, and you will be presented with confirmation that the App Install completed. From here, click “Open” to launch the new version of the Timeclock360 application.
Manually Checking for Update
In some instances, the clock may not detect that a new clock version is available. You can manually check for an update by clicking on the blue "gear" icon at the top left corner of the screen on your clock, as shown below.
Finally, you will be presented with an option to check for updates. Click this button and the clock download will begin.
