Viewing Route Packages

A Route - A ‘Route’ is a sequence of Runs packaged together to form a single driving task.  The Runs are packaged in a way that makes it efficient for a driver to execute the packaged Runs in sequence, between the time the driver leaves the yard to execute his/her first Run and returns to the yard after completing his/her last Run.


To view packaging details, follow the steps given below:

 

1.Navigate to Operations > Routes.

 

The Routes Dashboard will be displayed.

 

 

2. Click View packaging.

 

The Route Packages dialog will be displayed.

 

 

Adding Route Packages

Follow the steps below to add/edit route packages.


1. Navigate to Operations > Routes


The following screen will appear. Click on, "Add Route".



2. Now you will name the route, and time of day it will take place in the dispatch drop down. Next, the days of the week the route will happen. After that, the start and end date can be altered. Then, there are the runs. As shown below the runs that are already covered have green stars next to them. You can add existing runs that are not covered or create a new run.



Below is an example of the, "Add Run" screen. Fill out all of the required information and select save.



3. After adding the required runs, click on the save icon. 



4. You have now created a route in the Bytecurve 360 system.



Editing Route Packages


Follow the steps below to edit a route package.


1. Navigate to Operations > Routes


Below is the screen you will see. We will use "RT_200" as an example. Click on the desired route you need to. 



2. After clicking on the desired route, there are several things you can edit. The first is the time of day it will take place in the dispatch drop down. Next, the days of the week the route will happen. After that, the start and end date can be altered. Then, there are the runs. As shown below the runs that are already covered have green stars next to them. You can add existing runs that are not covered or a new run.



Below is an example of the "Add Run" feature. Fill out all of the required fields and select save in this instance. 



3. After adding the runs that are needed. Click on the save icon.



4. You have now successfully edited your route package.


Note: The start date needs to be current, and not backdated.
