An 'alert zone' is an area you define on the path of the bus approaching your student's stop. When the bus passes through this zone, the system will send you an alert. If you create a zone at an address or intersection that is say, five minutes away from your student's stop, your student would have about five minutes to get to his/her stop after you get your notification.
The system allows you to have as many zones as you would like, there is no limit.
The system relies on the zones you create to send you notifications about how far the bus is, as it approaches your student's stop. The app has no knowledge of student routes or stops
