If you are not getting all your expected notifications:

  1. Verify that your setup is complete:  You should have (i) Selected the students you want to follow, (ii) Added the routes they ride, and (iii) Created at least one alert zone.
  2. Make sure your zone is associated with the routes you are tracking against that zone. If a route was added after creating an alert zone, the route needs to be added to the zone - the system does not automatically add routes to alert zones.
  3. If you would like to receive zone notifications for pick up and drop off and if you have separate routes for school bound and home bound, then ensure that both routes are associated with the zone. Also, ensure that both ‘To School’ and ‘From School’ flags are selected for the zone.
  4. Confirm that the route passes through the alert zone you have created.  We display a bus icon on the home screen to track the route when the zone is active, and you can track the path of the route on the live map as it approaches your stop.  If the route does not pass through your zone, you may need to adjust the size or the location of your zone.
  5. Check that the device you are looking to receive notifications on is the only device you are logged into.
  6. Set your phone to allow notifications for this app.

The system sends zone notifications only when the route passes through your alert zone during a specific time window, defined as follows:

School bound route: From two hours prior to school start time to 30 minutes after school start time

Home bound route: From 30 minutes prior to school end bell time to two hours after school end time

If the route passes through your zone outside of this window, you will not receive a notification.
