Your transportation operator may replace your usual bus on any given day if the regular bus is down for maintenance or if it’s on a different trip that day.  In such situations, the operator needs to update the bus in the system for the correct bus to show up on the map, otherwise the original bus will show up on the map even though it’s not the one doing your route.  If the bus is in the shop for maintenance, it may appear stationary at the last known position of the bus.  If it’s on a different route elsewhere, it may appear to be off from your student’s bus route.

Please contact your transportation department if this situation persists for more than a day.

This issue may also be caused by poor cellular connectivity in certain areas that the bus passes through.  The GPS device on the bus sends its position to the system multiple times a minute through the cellular network and poor signal strength may cause a delay in the GPS messages getting to the system in real time.  In such situations, the position of the bus may not update promptly on the map and will be inaccurate
